Wow, this is a pleasant surprise: Tito Ortiz and Rampage Jackson will square off on a Bellator PPV on November 2, 2013.
Granted, this fight would have been much more entertaining a few years back, but it’s an ideal way for Bellator to jump into the PPV mix.
Both fighters sound rejuvenated after landing in Bellator.
“Over the last few years, my passion for MMA was completely killed, dealing with UFC politics and Dana (White),” Ortiz said in a press release. “I didn’t have that drive to compete, my heart wasn’t in it. I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders.”
A similar sentiment was echoed by Jackson.
“Honestly, I feel like I’ve been re-born,” Jackson said. “My excitement. My energy and aggression, it’s all back bigger than ever. I feel like a kid again.”
While this may be two fighters blowing a lot of hit air, it’s clear Bellator has signed two of the top fighters possible to headline their first PPV event.
